Barry M nail varnish

As you all know I am a nail varnish lover, I would even say that I have some sort of addiction when it comes to it.
So I thought I would share my Barry M collection with you.

Nude 324 is great for the natural look, it takes a few coats to build up the colour but otherwise it's beautiful.

Peach Melta 318 is the perfect spring look, it looks more coral than peach but such a stunning summer colour.

Bright Red 262 is my favourite out of the bunch, its sensual, great for everyday and evening wear. I just love it.

Raspberry 273 is a dark autumn colour, wonderfully matched with beige and greys.

Crush MNP 2 is a Matte nail polish, its stunning and I love matte colours as they give your nails more of an edge.

Cappuccino 341 is a great colour for autumn and winter, I rarely wear this one but I would  still recommend it.

Black Multi Glitter 333 is perfect for Christmas parties, or any evening event. Black goes with everything so the perfect accessory.

Nall Effects 311 is the best crackle nail polish that I have purchased, it's edgy and creative and offers an alternative look.

Tanya Burr Nail Varnish

I have wanted to try out these nail varnishes for some time. Tanya Burr beauty products have swamped my Twitter news feed for weeks and I have noticed that some people have completely fell in love with them. This is the week long review of the nail varnish products. I purchased the Peaches and Cream and the Mini Marshmallow.

£5.99 each from Superdrug

The chosen colour from this collection is the Peaches and Cream.

The colour is beautiful, it really compliments my skin tone. The application is simple, the nail varnish is easily applied.

Day One:

The polish still looks great, although I think it needs three coats rather than two. I have had many compliments on the colour.

Day two:

The polish is still looking good, no chips as of yet.

Day three:

Slight chipping but not too noticeable

Day four:

As you can see by day four the polish is very chipped, I have decided that I am going to take off the polish today. I think with a third coat, the Tanya Burr nail varnish would last longer. I would definitely recommend this nail varnish, especially if you like the natural look.

A Lipstick Encounter

I wanted to share with you all my current lipstick collection, most of the lipsticks I have purchased are high street brands from Topshop, Boots and Superdrug. I do have two lipsticks from Chanel and Mac which are my ultimate favourite, maybe it's the luxury of owning lipsticks I wouldn't usually be able to afford, or maybe it's the appreciation I have because they were presents.
Topshop | Whimsical | Secret Admirer | Sartorial

The Topshop whimsical lipstick is my ultimate favourite nude lipstick, it's easily to apply, it doesn't last as long as I would like however for the price it is very good.

Rimmel Kate Moss Collection | 03 | 16 | 22 | 107 | 128
The number 22 Kate Moss Rimmel collection lipstick is stunning, it's long lasting and smooth on. I love most of the colours in the collection and would recommend them if you want something cheap in price but very good quality.
Soap & Glory | Man Trap | Red My Lips
Soap & Glory products are incredible, they smell beautiful and have a lip balm feel.

Victoria Secret | Cabana
I purchased this Victoria Secret lipstick when I spent some of my summer in New York, it was such an eye catching colour and I got caught up in the moment. As you can imagine, New York City is a place of dreams, reality and well shopping.

Accessorize | Love Sick

I would never usually purchase makeup from Accessorize, nor would I have ever thought that they would have made decent cosmetics. However, I was wrong. This particular lipstick is lovely on, it reminds me of a red brick colour.

Max Factor | 630 Plush Blush
This was a lipstick purchased by my sister, it's a lovely colour.

N07 | Claret

This N07 lipstick colour is one that I have been after for quite some time, it's a deep claret, soft on the touch and long lasting.
Gosh | 145 Shocking Coral
This is one of the cheaper brands that I have purchased, it isn't long lasting at all but it is a beautiful colour. You do get what you pay for with this product.

L'oreal Paris | Julianne's Nude
Now, I have a little story regarding this product, let me start off by saying the lipstick itself is gorgeous. It's silky smooth and long lasting. Very barbie doll pink which works well with my skin tone. Now, as you can see from the shape of the lipstick this particular one looks damaged. This is how I purchased it, unfortunately the Superdrug that I bought it from would not exchange it for a new one. The lipstick itself was sealed and I took it in the shop the next day with the receipt. I can only reiterate how disappointed I am about this.

Mac | Just a Bite
This is a great colour, not too costly and very long lasting. I always find that you get what you pay for. This particular lipstick is the perfect colour of seduction.

Chanel | Rouge Allure
This is my favourite lipstick that I own, it's not only my most expensive but one of the best birthday presents I have had from one of my best friends Emma.

Bourjois Lipstick Collection

I really wanted to talk more about the Bourjois matte finish lipstick that was in my July favourite video. When it comes to lipsticks I own more high street lipsticks from Boots and Superdrug rather than high end brands such as Chanel.

I cannot afford to purchase the more expensive lipsticks from YSL, Tom Ford or Chanel, as much as I would love to. However, I have found that you can find great lipsticks even at cheaper prices. This brings me to the Bourjois matte finish lipstick. I recently purchase two of the Bourjois lipsticks, 05 Ole Flamingo and 03 Hot pepper which I found to be both long lasting and great quality.

When I found that there were more options available, I decided to purchase two more because the lipsticks were easy to apply and great for on the go application. I could just keep them in my bag and reapply when necessary.

As you can see, I have included all four lipsticks, my favourite is the Hot Pepper because I love red lipstick and this particular one is great for both daily and evening wear.

The 04 Peach Club is great for the summer time, it’s very orange as you can see from the image. The 02 Frambourioise is more of an evening colour; I would wear it when going out for a meal and maybe even a night out. It’s not bright but it’s elegant.

Wardrobe Week - Shoes

What I decided to do is start a weekly post about my wardrobe. Now, I can't promise that everything in my wardrobe you will find fashionable, in fact I am sure there will be certain items you will think 'I would never wear that'. But everyone has their own taste and I wanted to let you in on mine.
For the first instalment of #WardrobeWeek I thought I’d focus on shoes. Now, I recently cut down my shoe collection, ridding myself of my older shoes which were in need of binning. So, just to pre-warn you my shoe stash is a little thin on the ground, but I do love what I own.

Colour boards

I wanted to share with you my colour boards, these are the colours that I wear and find suit my complexion the most.
Summer
Winter
Autumn
Summer
Winter/Spring
Spring
I have olive skin so the colours that I choose to wear are bright colours in the summer - reds, pinks, greens and oranges. In the winter, I wear very neutral colours such as greys, blacks, creams and dark red.

My makeup is always brighter in the summer, I experiment with brighter lipsticks and nail varnishes, my blushers tend to be rosier and I wear more bronzer. In the winter I keep to quite a natural tone, my lipsticks are quite nude but closer to the Christmas period I do wear red lipsticks - for seasonal purposes. My blushers are still rosy but they are darker tones in the winter compared to the summer.

Here are my seasons:

My Spring Colour Scheme:
In Spring I tend to wear a variety of colours, the weather is still quite cold I dress for that particular season.

Fashion: My look is more sophisticated in Winter/Spring – I will be wearing long macs and boots, Skinny jeans and knitted woollen jumpers.

The colours: Creams, Grey’s, beige, Blacks, Tan, Dark red

Makeup: Deep pink blushers, brown mascara, red lipstick, nude lipstick, brown eye shadow, grey eye shadow, black pencil eyeliner

My Summer Colour Scheme:
In summer, I love wearing bright colours. Having olive skin I really like to show it off in the summer time by wearing brighter clothing.

Fashion: I dress more street style, skinny jeans, strappy tops, high waisted skirts, crop tops.

The colours: Orange, reds, bright pink, lime greens sometimes yellow, coral and black

Makeup: I brighten up my makeup also with bright pink lipsticks, reds; I also wear brighter nail varnish and use black mascara. I wear more liquid eye-liner in the summer time because I like how it draws focus to my eyes and works so well with bright lipstick.

My Autumn Colour Scheme:
In autumn with the drab weather I bring out my Chelsea boots and pack away the sandals. I wear a lot of leggings with oversized cream jumpers and I usually wear my trench coat or Parka coat.

Fashion: My look is very comfortable in autumn, I like to feel relaxed and I love my oversized jumpers that I pull out behind my summer clothes.

The colours: Creams, black, tan, beige, orange, red

Makeup: My makeup starts to look more natural in the autumn; I like to wear ox-blood lipstick and quite nude colours also. I still wear bronzer but not as much as in the summer and I tend to wear more blusher.

My Winter Colour Scheme:
In winter is all about either the faux fur and wool scarves and hats. Winter is the time of the year I wear a lot of hats. I love the winter season, it’s classy and you dress for warmth and practicality.

Fashion: I dress very practical but classy in winter, I wear a lot of tweed to work and my work jackets come out. I have a variety of faux fur scarves and this year I want to buy a faux fur hat.

The colours: Brown, grey, black, cream, white, beige and red

Makeup: My makeup is very neutral, brown or black mascara and blusher. Nude/black or red nail varnish.

What are your seasonal colours?

My casual makeup routine

I wanted to share with you my casual makeup routine. This look is my day to day look if I am not doing anything too special.

I always cream my face in the morning, I find that this makes my skin not only soft but also stops my skin from being dry.

Next, I do my eyebrows. Unlike most people I do not use an eyebrow pen I use eye-shadow.

I then use my Mac skin mineralize powder, I put this all over my face evenly. This just evens out my skin tone and offers a gentle glow.

I then use my Bourjois blusher to rosy my cheeks

This is my finishing look, natural and simple to do.

Interiors | Living Room Snippet

So, I have had a variety of video requests for me to do a tour of my home. Unfortunately, this isn't something I am prepared to do for privacy reasons. However, I have decided to do a photography tour for you instead. For the first instalment, I will take you around part of my living room. I have carefully taken these picture so that both mine and Gary's privacy can be kept. But, you can see the overall style of my home.

The theme that we have chosen in our home is dark wood, grey and green coloured cushions/sofa. We liked the simple look, not too outdated or modern.
