Bali Balm #KissThePlanet

As of late, I have been focusing on leading a more sustainable lifestyle. Ensuring I recycle, using reusable bottles rather than throw aways and swapping out plastic containers to glass. It's only a small step but I have to start somewhere.

I have also been looking into beauty brands that lead with a sustainable future thinking ethos. When Bali Balm reached out, I was so excited about trying a product from a brand that focus on the wellbeing of the planet.
What can I say, I'm in love and I've almost run out. (crying face emoji). I've been using the Bergamot and Grapefruit lip balm for the last four weeks. It's nourishing, fresh and leaves your lips hydrated and soft. It's basically the perfect lip balm. The smell is also delicious, I'm a huge fan of grapefruit so as you can imagine, I was very happy.

Bali Balm just layers onto your lips nicely, it almost melts onto your mouth. There really aren't any negatives. A little does go a long way, I find that I use this around 2/3 times every day. I think in the winter, I would use it a lot more.

What's amazing about this brand is that they are ticking all the right boxes, not only are they selling a great product but they are also sustainable, vegan, cruelty free and an all natural brand. Every ingredient used and every product they create is made with the planet in mind. I'm just overwhelmed with how wonderful that really is.

How to use
Depending on the condition of your lips, I would suggest a few options. You can apply this straight onto your lips. If you suffer with dry lips, I would exfoliate first and then apply.

Before you apply lipstick, I would suggest letting the lip balm settle for 5 minutes then apply to give yourself a better finish.

Okay, I think this is the most amazing lip balm packaging known to mankind. You receive your Bali Balm in a present style box. Crisp white and orange which is stunning. The lip balm is wrapped in tissue paper, I mean it's honestly fabulous.

Oh and not to mention, you also receive a returns envelope (postage paid) so you can send back your empty product so that Bali Balm can recycle the packaging.

A single Bali Balm lip balm costs £20. In comparison to the average lip balm, this is definitely more of a luxury price. However, considering how the money is used, it's worth every penny. I think these would be wonderful Christmas stocking fillers for friends and family.

Coconut Oil, Castor Seed Oil, Candelilla Wax, Kukui Nut Oil, Sugarcane Extract, Bergamot Fruit Oil, Grapefruit Peel Oil, Peppermint Leaf Oil, Rosemary Extract, Wheat Germ Oil, Vanilla Fruit Extract.
About Bali Balm (taken from the Bali Balm website)
At Bali Balm we believe that beauty shouldn’t cost the Earth. This is why we source only 100% natural ingredients that are readily replenished and non harmful to our ecosystems and the environment
Our vegan pledge means we do not use animal products or animal-derived products such as beeswax or honey. As you may be aware, there has been a worldwide decline in bee populations over the last few years. By not disturbing bees for their wax or honey, we allow them to do what they do best - pollinate the wonderfully varied vegetation that covers our planet.
Moreover, we do not test our products or ingredients on animals. All products have been tested for safety on human volunteers. In doing so, we can ensure that the production of our balm doesn’t negatively affect our fellow creatures.
When it comes to packaging, our tubes are 100% recyclable, which means they can be repurposed in different products. Plastic waste is of the utmost concern for us at Bali Balm, which is why we include a pre-paid envelope with every balm you buy so that you can send the tubes back to us for recycling.
