A Sprucenews Halloween Special

Halloween is such an exciting time, for both children and adults who love to dress up and enjoy themselves. I think Halloween is awesome, I like trick or treating with my niece and seeing all the little ones dressed up knocking on doors.

I wanted to share with you my Halloween efforts from work, we are currently raising money for charity (Macmillan's and Style acre) so it's been more than worth it!

I decided to try my hand at the Saw puppet... not brilliant but I am not a professional makeup artist!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures, I would love to see yours!

Lush Haul

So I was rather naughty and went on a rather large spending spree in Lush!! I couldn't help it, it was just too tempting and well they smell soooo good.

I have been wanting to get my hands on some of these products for a few weeks now. I was travelling through London for a work event and popped into Lush in London Waterloo.  My overall experience in Lush has never been so great, the member of staff that assisted me (unfortunately I didn't get her name but she had fab hair!) was amazing. I explained what I was looking for, which was subtle scents which aren't over powering. I did say vanilla is what I want, I love vanilla and I like the smell on my skin.

I came out of the store with this haul... oh dear!!

Check the video here:

Products mentioned:

Overall my experience at Lush was great and I will definitely be returning once my products are all used up! Worth every penny and well let's face it, we all need to pamper ourselves sometimes.

What are your favourite Lush products?

Interiors | Bedroom Snippet 2014

I know my interiors posts have been popular and it makes me feel so wonderful knowing that I have inspired some of you or even made some of you think about your own interior style. I thought that I would show you the interiors of my bedroom, I don't feel comfortable creating a video based around this. However, I want to show you what design me and Gary have chosen.

We love white, we like the clean appeal that white provides and it's also extremely relaxing and calm. This is important for us, as we feel you need a space to de-stress after a hard day at work and sleep soundly.

Gary enjoys reupholstering furniture, he takes pride in his work and I must say he is brilliant at it.The chest of draws in our bedroom was originally a light wood colour, with chunky wooden knobs. We decided instead of purchasing a new chest of draws in white, we would just paint it. We changed the original knobs and replaced the with crystal ones which look classy and perfect for the overall style.

The clock is a personal favourite because it was a present from Gary to myself, its beautiful with a shabby chic style. Heart candles are a present from my younger brother Ryan (Draw your sibling challenge) they are from next.

The large mirror was a bargain buy from The Range, is was £49 which for a heavy, good quality mirror and its situated above our bed.

Now, onto the fabulous chair, it is another one of Gary's clever jobs. The original colour was gold and green. It was purchased from an antiques store for £15. The colours were disgusting but Gary thought it would be a great opportunity to work his magic again. Here it is, the paint cost £11 and the fabric was £1.99.

That's our bedroom! I hope you enjoyed it.

Interiors | Living Room Snippet part 2

After receiving such great comments about my interiors post for my living room and kitchen, I thought I would share with you part two of my living room snippet.

We have added some new additions to the living space in our home so I wanted to share these with you all today!

The love scrabble picture was designed and created by my boyfriend Gary for my 24th birthday! It is one of the most precious pieces I own and is placed on my wall with pride.

Barry M Natural Glow Palette 2

I recently purchased the Barry M Natural Glow 2 Palette from Superdrug. I really liked the colours within the palette and for £6.49 it was a bargain buy. I only purchase nail varnish from Barry M usually, however I thought it would be a good idea to try out the quality of their other products.
