10 things to do on Valentine's day

Valentine's day can be an expensive time of year if you're not careful with money. If you are planning on spending the evening with your boyfriend or girlfriend, why not do your research before you break the bank.

Myself and Gary choose not to make a big deal out of Valentine's Day because we are firm believers that you should show your love everyday. This year, we haven't made any plans, but I have suggested some ideas which I thought I would share with you all today...

10 Things To Do On Valentines Day
  1. Cook a romantic meal for two at home with candles and then run a bubble bath with some prosecco.
  2. Go ice-skating or somewhere fun. Valentine's is about what you both enjoy, it doesn't have to be soppy.
  3. Go for a massage. You can usually find some great deals online and if you book early you should get it at a cheaper price.
  4. Book an evening away! If you want to spice things up and get away from everything research hotels.
  5. Chocolate... it's a given really!
  6. Roses! Gary usually buys me roses, our first valentines he bought me a dozen roses which was incredibly romantic as I was not expecting anything. Every year since he a bought me a single rose.
  7. Dress up and make a dinner reservation. It doesn't have to be expensive, it's just nice to make the effort.
  8. Go to the cinema. If you want to do something casual that gets you out the house then make a date of it.
  9. Re-enact your first date.. whatever that may be
  10. Indoor picnic.. nobody said that Valentine's Day has to happen in the evening. If it's a nice day, go for a picnic in the park. If it's a lousy day, have an indoor picnic with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne.
What are your plans this Valentine's?
